Why motorcycle insurance is different
A car can absorb a low-speed impact almost invisibly. A motorcycle can be totaled in the same incident. The same insurer that offers excellent auto coverage may have weak motorcycle products — or none at all. We're appointed with carriers that specialize in motorcycle, scooter, and three-wheeled vehicle coverage, so you get a policy designed for the way you actually ride.
Core coverages
- Bodily injury liability — covers medical and legal costs when you're at fault.
- Property damage liability — pays for damage to other people's property.
- Collision — repairs or replaces your bike after an accident.
- Comprehensive — protects against theft, vandalism, weather, falling objects, animal strikes.
- Uninsured / underinsured motorist — covers you if the at-fault driver has no insurance or insufficient coverage.
- Medical payments — no-fault medical for you and your passenger.
Endorsements built for riders
- Full replacement cost coverage — replaces damaged parts at full cost, not depreciated value.
- Total loss coverage — pays full purchase price if your bike is totaled within a defined window after purchase.
- Custom parts and equipment — covers aftermarket exhausts, fairings, paint, lighting, electronics, saddlebags, and custom seats up to specified limits.
- Roadside assistance and trip interruption — towing, food, lodging when you break down far from home.
- Accessory and apparel coverage — riding gear, helmets, jackets, communications equipment.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need motorcycle insurance year-round if I only ride part of the year?
In Texas, registration generally requires continuous insurance. However, many carriers offer "lay-up" rates for seasonal riders that reduce premium during months the bike is stored — without losing comprehensive coverage against theft and weather damage in storage.
Are custom parts covered under a standard motorcycle policy?
Usually only up to a small default limit ($1,000–$3,000). If you've invested significantly in customization, ask about a custom parts and equipment endorsement that schedules the actual value.
Will training discounts help my premium?
Yes. MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) completion, advanced rider training, and clean motorcycle endorsement (MC license) records all earn meaningful discounts with most carriers.
Does my motorcycle policy cover a passenger?
Most policies include guest passenger liability and medical payments, but limits vary. We make sure your passenger coverage is appropriate for how often you carry one.
What about coverage for off-road or trail bikes?
Off-road bikes are typically excluded from on-road auto policies. We write standalone off-road and dual-sport policies that cover them properly, including during transport to and from riding areas.
